Something is acting weird when I try to post... sorry....

Customer has an existing server with an RHEL entitlement that they just renewed.

Planning on buying a new Dell server (410/610) with no OS preload. They want me to load the OS. No prob here except server will have 2 arrays - one for /home, one for everything else (/, /var/ /usr, etc).

I've not done a load on a machine with multiple arrays. How do I select what file systems go on what array?

Thanks,

Kevin

I haven't seen a RHEL 6 install yet, but on older RHEL releases usually if you get to the section about partitioning you can use the advanced option and build your own partition layout. Assuming the raid containers have already been created they should show as sda and sdb and you can pick which 'folders' you want to create where.

As this is a RHEL 6 related question, if nobody else replies with any suggestions, you may want to ask this on Red Hat's forums as this has no Dell specific factors.
