iDRAC

Keep getting this error in Firefox, Edge and Chrome when accessing iDRAC 6 (firmware 2.8.5). I use Firefox primarily and have to go into setup > Advanced > view certificiates and remove Dell from the trusted certificates. This is frustrating as it happens too often. I have no idea why but quite honestly, shame on Dell. Their iDRACs have always been slow, clumsy and a classic PIA to deal with. Such an "enterprise" company, really.

You have to replace the default self-signed certificate with a real one yourself. Dell doesn't give you a certificate for free with every server or something like that...

Hello.

The Secure Connection Failed with error "SEC_ERROR_REUSED_ISSUER_AND_SERIAL" occurs whenever there is a duplicate certificate and authentication fails. As per your initial steps, you will have to delete an old security exception and temporarily add another exception in order to access the iDRAC web interface. See link for the procedure: http://www.dell.com/support/Article/us/en/04/464652/EN

Ok, how about an option to diable https web GUI login, but instead use regular non-secure http:// protocol?

I've looked everywhere in the iDRAC settings and cannot find such option.

I am not aware of this non-secure connection to iDRAC. You may use Public Key Authentication over SSH (stil secure) which removes the need for user name and password. See pages 15-16 of Users' Guide: http://media.community.dell.com/en/dtc/attach/idrac6_security_v1.pdf
