Can we create file system while virtual disk initialization is in progress?
Hi
We recently added MD1000 to an existing MD3000. We created 12 virtual disks and the initialization is in progress on them for the last 4 hours or so.
My question is: can we create a file system on those virtual disks while initialization is in progress?
OS: Red Hat Linux 4 (64 bit)

You can format the disks just fine. They just won't be quite as responsive/fast as compared to once the initialization is finished, so if you were wanting to benchmark your setup, wait till the initialization is done.
