MD3600f imported garbage disk info into DBM

We have many MD3600f that have same disk group name.
They are all separate systems.
I inserted a disk from a different MD3600f into another MD3600f without clearing disk's configurations as a replacement for a failed disk.
Right after the disk was inserted, MD3600f started rebuilding without asking anything and imported disk data that was stored in the replacement disk.
And it raised "Need attention alarm" as below.
It also shows garbage disk data from another MD3600f in the profile as below.
How can I remove those garbage data and remove the alert messages without stopping the system?
This system is in production and we not able to stop the service.
Please help.

Hello sanghee911,

It is best that if you haven’t done so already to make a call into support as these issues normally require an analyst to assit in fixing the database on your MD3600f. The issue is that anytime you remove a drive from one MD system and insert into another MD system that you need to wipe the drive clean first. If you don’t wipe the drive first then when the drive is read by the new MD it is going to try & import the configuration & give you the issue that you are having.

Can you access all the virtual disk that are on this MD3600f that are giving all the errors? This is an issue that it is best to make sure that you have a backup of all the data as well just in case data may need to be restored.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Thank you for your reply.

We already called into support in Japan, but only solution they are suggesting is removing all disks and restart the controllers. However we tested it in our lab and did not work at all. All the virtual disks are accessible and MD itself is working fine except for showing the alarms. Is there any VxWorks command remove those garbage records? or fix the database?

looking forward to any answers.

What did support tell you when you told them that their solution didn't work in your setup?

The PowerVault support engineers that I've worked with seem to know their way around the CLI (serial) in the controller and can definitely do some 'magic' to fix things. I haven't seen them want to publish or give out any of this kind of information though.
