O/S Reinstall - NX300

I need to reload the O/S on my NX300 Storage Server. I have 2 volumes, the SYSTEM volume, and a DATA volume. All shares are located on the DATA volume. The SYSTEM volume only contains the operating system, and utilities as originally delivered. I am assuming that simply booting from the recovery disk will take care of it without disturbing any on my shared data. Is there anything I need to watch out for? I will be working under a tight time constraint to get this done, so I want to avoid any pitfalls if possible.

The current O/S is Windows Storage Server 2008 Workgroup, I will be changing to Windows Storage Server 2008 Standard.
