Please help: MD3000i controller 0 management port was not working!
I'm having a hard time configuring MD3000i, I would like to reset it to default factory settings since the password was lost from previous administrator. I've tried the instruction on
http://lists.us.dell.com/pipermail/linux-poweredge/2009-January/038389.html
After performing the instructions, the controller 0 management port was not working anymore, the Controller Fault LED was amber. However the Controller 1 with 192.168.128.102 ip address is working fine. (can ping on host, and detected with MD3000i Configuration Utility).

Did you try the steps in the pdf that's listed in the online documentation section for the MD3000i?

I would open a case with Dell Powervault support for this.
There is no way that I know of to reset just 1 controller. The serial option allows you to view or set the management IP, or reset the password, but I don't know if there's a way to reset (the settings) on a controller via serial.
