pls help this is driving me insane! I'm not sure what the problem is, and i can't find much help on this on the web.

Thanks,

Hi Sam, As my ITDT doesn't appear to work (even after stopping all BE services) is it possible to retrieve a health check report from RMU?

Yeah you can get the drive dump from the RMU. Here is how to pull it:

1.       Login to the web console

2.       Select the Service Library Menu & expand it

3.       Save Drive Dump

Hello gbirdee7,

Based on the error that is listed there could be an issue with the drive.  What I would recommend is that since you have ITDT that you run a device health check on the drive.  You will need a blank tape or a tape that can be overwritten as backup exec will need to format it after it the test with ITDT.  Once the test has completed you can email it to me & I can review the log for you to see if the drive is truly having problems or if there is something else that is causing the issue.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.
