Dell Precision T3400 - hard drives

I have dell Precision T3400. I had to reinstall OS system. The first time I was able to obtain the back up files.  I had to reinstall again because something went wrong.  How many drives does T3400 have and how can i find the back up files.

Normally, a computer will come with 1 drive but as this is a workstation, it could have been purchased with up to 3 drives. You would have to open it up and look to see how many drives you have if you cannot access Windows or the BIOS. If you do open it up and it has more then one hard drive, I would unplug the others that are not on SATA port 0 and install the OS that way. After install you can re-connect your other HDDs.
