Dell T7820 , weird hdd issue

Hello,

I'm not sure if this is something i should not worry about, and thus I would like to discuss it.

This morning i booted as usual ( win10 ), and found out that the first mechanical hdd point blank was missing / not detected. No weird sounds or such.

Rebooted > F12 > PSA diags
the hdd was shows there correctly, clicking on it got a green checkmark ( maybe took longer than performing the same test on the 2nd mechanical hdd ).

Rebooted > windows

The drive shown up normally, no files missing, smart showing all green. Run seatools and it didn't report anything weird.

So... is it something that can happen / sw glitch / uefi glitch maybe ? Should i worry ?

Yes, but I have no error code, smart shows all values as green and identical ( practically ) with the ones of the other twin drive.

There's prob around 2TB of data that does an md5 hash check by itself when taken online, and nothing is errored.

On top of that, I've tested > 80gb random compressed data.

That's why I'm not sure if I should take it as a warning of an issue, or if is a glitch linked maybe to the os.

It might be time to transfer everything over to a new drive before the old one starts throwing errors or corrupting data.

Don't risk it with HDD issues. (Or at least make nightly backups if the data is important)

Well,

obviously I'm keeping it under scrutiny. Was trying to get some opinions, especially since I'm unsure i could or should use the warranty with just this

Well as long as you have a full backup of that Hard Drive and all its data, you can wait it out to see what happens. Hard Drives are cheap and you may have gotten an early warning
