I think this is what i will end up doing, just get a used power supply from ebay or facebook marketplace, the correct ones from dell are a bit pricey bacause of the dell name but there is so much available on the used market it would be unwise to pay more.
I don't even need the 875 watt as I am just running a gt1030 that runs from the pcie slot so my power requirements are not that great.
I do need to check what power connectors(24 pin+8 pin) when i get it open again.
Will also get 2 of the 3.3ghz hexacore xeon 5680 as they can be had for peanuts.
Hello can you help , could i use the dell t5500 psu 825watt for my new pc, does it have atx standard and would not burn my new motherboard. you replaced yours and works fine?
@sianglee2000 i know this is an old post, but i was wondering if by any chances you know how to do the exact same thing to my dell precision, cus my powersupply just died, an di hace some spare parts but not sure how to connect it to replace the other "special dell connectors", please, if you could help me. Mine having problem cant sustain high load with dual x5690, the original PSU will suddently shut off once load in win 10.
I tried purchased an used PSU H875E-00 from taobao, it works only for weeks and have same problem.
Last resort is getting brand new Cooler Master MWE 750 (750W). It fits just nice into existing PSU slot.
Now running on dual x5650 with Asus PH RTX 3060 as worried over power, everything is well in the past one year... hopes no more PSU failure.
