Geforce RTX3080 on a precision 7920

Question

Hello,

I want to install a geforce 3080 on a precision 7920 tower. Can you tell me if this graphics card can be mounted on this type of tower? indeed, for photogrammetry an RTX3080 seems much more efficient than a Quadro RTX5000.

Looks like it will fit. Tower PCI-e dimensions screengrabbed are from the Precision 7920 Tech Guide. RTX 3080 dimensions are screengrabbed from Google.

I suggest measuring the width you have to be sure. While the tower is obviously wider than the card, the tech guide doesn't mention internal width for PCI-e slots. I don't want to automatically say "yes" to find out some door handle is in the way.

1300W power supply is needed along with 300W video card cable for something like KVJ6K NVIDIA Grid K2

The system cover might not close if the card is too tall.

power 150W. 215XG 0215XG cable or something like it will also be needed.

the lower end 625w and 825w power supplies are too small
