T5610 workstation and I try to plug-in an RTX 2080Ti GPU.
After installing the driver of the card, I found that every time the temperature of the GPU card reaches 70 C, the workstation will automatically shut down.
1. I search for a way to change the overheat protection threshold in BIOS but I can't find it.
1. AFAIK, there IS NOT a 70c threshold to disable... I suggest you look else where for problem.
Seems like a 4 year old Workstation-class machine should be able to run it.
Hi. Any update on this? I am about to buy an RTX 2080ti and wanted to make sure that it will work on my Dell t5610 with 825W power supply (I already have two Xeon 2637 v2 I think each needs 130W). Also, can the new RTX 3000s work at full power on the machine?
Hey, im having same issue like you on my Zotac GTX 1660 Ti. ***Previously i'm using Quadro k2000***with 825w PSU.
Currently im using 2x6 pin to 8pin to power up my gpu. it passed Furmark and Kombustor GPU stress test running time about 30 mins. Funning things is it can't pass SupportAssist 's Video Stress Test.

The 2080 TI uses 2 X 8 PIN power connections aka it uses 300W.from the Aux power connections and 75W from the PCI-E bus.
Even 2010 - 2012 mac pro towers have reboot problems with 950W power supplies.
The Default 685W power supply is too small.

Thank you for your help! My power supply is 825W already, maybe there is some other reason for this

The power supply does not have 2X 8 pin power connections. The card needs more power. There is no other reason.

This is why there are not 2 X 8 pin power connections.
