T3500 won't boot after cpu swap
I have a T3500 (BIOS A17) that originally had a xeon W3520. I replaced the CPU with a E5649.
When I plug the power cable into the PSU, the fans spin for about 1 second, the "aux power" LED on the motherboard (near the parallel port) comes on (solid amber). When I push the power button, nothing happens. No beeps, no LEDS on the front panel, no fan movement.
Any ideas on things to try here before I try putting the old CPU back in?

nevermind, I cleared the NVRAM via the RTCRST jumper and it's booting fine now. I thought I had done that before I posted but it's possible I didn't do it properly the first time.
