T3600 5 1/4 optical drive

Well I finally figured out how to install a 5 1/4 optical drive in this thing.  After the install of the 5  1/4 drive using the sata from the slimline dvd drive and power cable that was unused.  The machine did the power on self test lit up the power light on the 5  1/4 drive the light blinked for about 6 blinks then the machine shutdown and would not boot until I replaced the connections to the slimline dvd.  Anyone have any idea on how to hook up the 5  1/4 optical drive ?

This was intended to replace an T3500 , I might go back to the T3500 and just sell this T3600 on ebay if it will work with optical drives.
