Thunderbolt 3 PCIe Precision 3430
Hey all ...
I have Dell Precision 3430 the I'm doing some testing on
I've picked up a Razor Core V2 at a car boot sale .... this device requires Thunderbolt 3 USB-C connectivity.
The 3430 has a SSD type-c which doesn't work ... windows finds the device and then display Type-c for data only
Is there a pcie option for the 3430 to allow the tb3 connection from the Razor core
See a few on a Google search but no conformation that they'll work really.
Any advice appreciated
Many thanks

Precision 3430 thunderbolt is optional and must be present when you order it. This is also one of the models where thunderbolt security is greyed out in F2 Bios if the controller for the GPIO header cable is not present on the motherboard. Intel and Dell abandoned thunderbolt in favor of USB4 and does not offer generic thunderbolt 3 upgrades in general. There is also very little documentation for these cards.

It might be cheaper to buy a system than try getting this card to work which it wont if you do not have controller on motherboard and the non optional cables.
