Dell is very proprietary. Aftermarket MB will likely not work. I/O front panel is proprietary. Even the way the fans are wired. Screw holes won't line up. MB from another Dell will likely not line up either. Dell doesn't even use all the same power connections. Not that it's completely impossible to change to a different MB, but it's difficult and unlikely.
With the T3500 being 11 yrs. old, might be time to consider something newer, especially if you're bored with it.
