Connecting an external GPU to my Dell Precision M6600
I have been to other forums on this website and I am thinking of connecting an egpu to my Dell Precision M6600, I have seen people say that it's impossible without your laptop without having a thunderbolt connector but I have known that it is really easy to use a laptop's mini pci wifi card slot or on newer laptops a M.2 ssd slot to connect it and am wondering if anyone has tested this and if it works and how compatability is on it.

The answer depends on your expectations.
If you're OK with having a disassembled pile of parts on your desk, it may be an option for you. You won't be able to reassemble the notebook once you install the card, as there's no way to route all the cables required.
You must use an external monitor -- you can't use the internal display.
The bandwidth of a mini-PCIe slot designed for a wifi card is a fraction of what the GPU needs, so you'll never see anywhere near what the GPU can deliver.
Essentially, you'll be sacrificing the portability of the notebook in favor of a desktop system, and in exchange you'll get a fraction of the potential of the GPU card. In other words, build a desktop system -- that's what you'll end up with, and the desktop system will run the GPU at its full potential, unlike the pile of formerly portable notebook parts you'll be left with.
And that's if the mini PCIe adapter works at all, which is open to question.
