Dell Precision SSD support on WLAN slot

Hello, Trying to install a SSD in the WLAN slot and OS doesnt recognize it.  Though the labels does mention SSD support.

1. Transcend M2.SSD 420S installed in WLAN slot

2. BIOS recognizes the drive and detects the size/serial etc.

3. OS doesnt recognize it.  (Device driver doesnt recognize it. No its not related to initialize/partitioning)

4. Tried removing the other drive and tried with a OS installer USB. The Windows installer doesnt see any drive.

5. Tried Acronis disk manager to check if it can initialize the drive, but it also doesnt recognize any drives in system

The question is since the BIOS detects it as a SSD why doesnt it work.  I tried setting/flipping AHCI mode just to make sure some setting isn't stuck.  The BIOS setting currently is in AHCI mode and still drive not recognized by OS.

Any help to get it working? Pictures below

Anyone have thoughts on this.  Though the port says SSD supported, it doesnt work.  I used a Transcend M2. Irrespective of make of drive, if its compatible with the standards it should work.  Dell-Cares said go to forums to get support!

The drive works perfectly with an SATA adapter, so confirmed the drive itself works perfectly.
