Dell SupportAssist installs "unsigned" drivers
I have a Precision 5530, the OS is the one that I received with the unit. I was working when a Windows 10 popup about unsigned driver installation appeared. There were no info about the driver or application performing this action, just Yes or No. I cancelled it and then checked the EventLog where I found a message about failed installation. It seems Dell's SupportAssist tried to update itself in the background and failed.

CustomAction MsiInstallDrivers returned actual error code 1603 (note this may not be 100% accurate if translation happened inside sandbox)
It appears that SupportAssist tried to install an "unsigned" Dell Diags Universal Driver. The rollback didn't work well when I cancelled installation (error code 1603 means user cancels), so I ended up with a non-working SupportAssist. In Add/Remove Programs it says 3.2.0.90 while the splash screen says it is still 3.1.0. The updated driver seems to be signed so it was probably some custom action or service that tried to install the driver wasn't signed properly.

Same issue here.
There seems to be no solution until Dell fixes their software, at which point you will have to manually uninstall the old version and reinstall the new one.
Weirdly enough, the "Alienware" version of support assist uses properly signed drivers.
