Install a Samsung MZ-V6E250BW SSD 960 EVO, M.2, NVMe on a Precision 7510.

Dear all,
I have a Precision 7510 with a mechanical SATA III - 7200 HD.
I want replace the mechanical hard drive with a faster SSD.

Is it possible remove the mechanical HD and install a SSD with PCIe interface - M.2 connector as the boot drive?  Is there a M.2 connector on the 7510 (suitable to boot the Precision)?

If I should install the PCIe SSD at the SATA III connector I need an adapter. So, because of the sata connection, is there any speed advantage to be gained by using the adapter and a m.2 chip as against a reasonable 2.5" sata ssd?

Really many thanks for all your support.

Regards.

You don't need an adapter - the system has an M.2 slot on the mainboard.  Just install a native M.2 NVMe drive.
