Scanning and Repairing C Drive messages
I have a 2 week old (Dec. 20, 2022) upgraded 21" Precision 7770 that I paid $$$ for from Dell because my 3 year old Dell laptop had become slow and, me being a heavy user of multiple programs, displays, etc., kept freezing up. This new machine goes into scanning and repairing C Drive mode on every startup and while using it, several times a day I get a message via a gray box that contains a red circle with a white X in it at the lower right of the screen stating I need to scan and repair Drive C (which I ignore - there's nothing clickable in it). Seems like it freezes up as much as the old one and I'm wondering if that's related to all the scan and repair messages.

Are you shutting down the system from the Start/Power option? Are you having problems with power being supplied to the system from the wall receptacle? This web page at recoverit may help. You can also run diagnostics, F12 at boot, to check for any errors such as drive errors. But inasmuch as the system is only 2 weeks old I would suggest calling Dell tech support.

Not sure if the freezes up are relating to the scan and repair messages, but you can get rid of the messages by allowing the drive to be scanned.
Open file explorer, right click on drive C and select Properties. Click on the tab Tools (on top) and click on the box Check, under Error checking. You might get option of Scan drive or Scan and repair, select Scan and repair. Some settings will allow you to run the scan while other will require a system restart.
