964 printer will not feed business card stock.

I have a 964 printer, 3 years old.  It has always been touchy about feeding and printing Avery 8371 Business Card stock.  Other than card stock, the printer works just fine.  It has reached the point that the printer will not properly feed the business card stock at all.

I have set the paper option to "Card Stock", but no help there.  The card stock feeds into the printer about 2-3 inches and then stops.  I get a jam error, or sometimes another error type.  I bought new card stock.  Same result.  Often, the card stock is damaged by the printer and must be tossed.
