968 AIO - How to remove devices from "Scan Network" menu...

I have a couple old devices registered to the "Scan Network" on the 968 and would like to remove them, however I haven't found any information on how to accomplish this.  Not even uninstalling the software from the old device removes itself from the list on the 968 accomplishes this.  Any suggestions?

How do you have the 968 connected to your network? USB, wireless print server(maybe 3300), uning the wireless in the printer?

USB and wireless, but the devices in question were registered wirelessly on the printer during setup.

I don't have a 968 to be able to tell you. The 968 manual doesn't say much. Here are the instructions we use to remove the other computers from the printers that use a 3300 wireless print adapter, so is should be similar with removing the other devices from your printer.

Here are the instructions...(for Removing Computers from the Printers using the 3300 wireless adapter)

Go to start

click on programs/Dell/Dell wireless printer adapter 3300/Set ip address utility

(Yours might be similar to this but may be for your wireless card)

Click on the printer

click on launch web page

On web page

click on settings

click on Scan to Network Host Management

check the ones you want to delete then delete them.

Just close web page when finished. Also close ip address utility also.

Now look at the list on the printer.

Thanks, Rick.  I'll give it a shot. The manuals for the 966 and 968 are certainly lacking.

Surprise surprise!  Can connect to the embedded web page through the printers IP, however to change any settings I need to provide a username and password.  There is no mention of the ability to do this in any of the manuals for the 966, 968, or 3300, let alone any mention of  what the default username and password could be.  Searched Dell and Lexmarks site to no avail.  Any idea of what they may be?  Seems me and only one more person are curious.  Perhaps we're the only two who were unfortunate enough purchase such porly documented devices... http://www.dellcommunity.com/supportforums/board/message?board.id=A940&message.id=26939&query.id=102014#M26939

"admin" and "password" are typical Dell combos as well, but no luck with any of those suggested combinations.  Dell online support left me hanging as they have no documentation as to an embedded web gui on either of these devices.  It's quite comical actually...

I didn't need a password for the 3300.

I know the default password for most Dell printers is 3355(DELL)

Not sure about the user. Have someone looking into this for you. (My guess might be admin, user or Dell)

I don't think it would be the username and password for your wireless router.

Try admin and leave the password field blank.

I've tried that on both a 966 and a 968 with IE and Firefox browsers.  Neither worked.  So it's either the obvious, that I don't have the correct username and password or the embedded web functionality on the rom is broken/abandoned. That would explain why this never made it to the documentation.  My trouble ticket is slowly making it up the ranks.  Hopefully I'll have an answer soon...
