Hi GCMEM,

How are you trying to install it? Are you using the disk or just downloading a driver? Is it a network or USB printer?

I would tell you that the first thing you should do is try installing the driver from a different method. perhaps the file for the print processor on this method is missing or corrupt.

I just downloaded the driver fromt the Dell Website.    What other method can i use to install the driver???

you can also install the driver from microsoft's servers. If you are on windows 7, go to devices and printers and add a printer. After you select the port and get to the driver selection, there is a windows update button. That will pull drivers from microsoft. Then just select the printer from the list of dell printers.

Thanks Printster, but Microsoft didn't have the drivers for that specific Dell printer, so I'm still stuck!

At that point you might just want to contact support for your printer. Assuming it is still under warranty, they should be able to remotely assist you with the setup.
