Dell 1320c Error Code 007-371
I just started to get this error message today and I can't find any information on what the error code means. The Dell help says -
Turn off the printer and turn it back on. Contact customer support if this failure is repeated.
I've tried cleaning the CTD sensor, resetting the printer, tried a different USB cable, checked the toner cartridges but nothing seems clear the error. The Dell documentation gives no indication as to what the error might be.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I called Dell support and they had me remove the PHD and reinstall it. Same error message appeared. They told me to buy a new printer and suggested a few models.
After the call, I removed the PHD and cleaned all the contacts and cleaned up the some toner residue inside the printer. Reinstalled the PHD and it has been working ever since. Dell never did tell me what the error meant but it obviously has something to do with the PHD.

Thanks for that helpful info. This printer lasted two years and it has frequently given this error code. Usually we can flip it on/off, open/close doors, etc. and it eventually starts working. Not this time. This is the only info I could find anywhere on error 007-371. We removed and cleaned contacts a couple times. I will take Dell's advice and buy another printer. Did they recommend any Epson or HP? That's what I will be buying.
