Hi, Jo Ann.....I have a similar problem, in that I have a Windows 7 (64-bit) PC, but cannot find a driver for it. Where did you find the Windows 7 driver, please?
I spoke with Lenovo Premium Support 1-855-271-3877 (maker of my X1 Carbon PC). The technician loaded the old 1720dn WinXP driver and got my printer working.
BTW, Dell would not help me because they didn't have the service tag of my printer in their system. I was willing to pay but they said they couldn't help me if my printer wasn't registered.

Unfortunately, you will need a Windows 8 driver for the printer to work. I don't believe it will work with a Windows 7 driver.
