Hi arcolino,

I have successfully set it up one time in the past. It does work with active directory, but to my knowledge no other type of LDAP server. The server address and port should be pretty straight forward. The trick is in the syntax of the search fields. I do not currently have a reference for that syntax handy but it is something along the lines of cn=commonname, uid=user,ou=people,dc=example,dc=com. I cannot recall if it is commas or semicolons and of course the specifics will be based on your server.

so your saying the same printer the dell 2155cdn color mfp, the names and email addresses appear in the email address tab or the server address tab? when you say fields you talking about ldap user mapping tab? it has common name cn, surname sn, given name givenname, email address mail, your saying adjust that field? or the search directory root? under the optional info (for server address/phone book) so we are talking about getting the name and email address from a/d and they import into the printer address book?
