Dell 2335dn - multiple page scanning without using ADF possible?

I am trying to scan multiple pages of documents that cannot be fed through the ADF, to a PDF file on a networked PC.  This was easy to do on our previous Dell 1600n. On the 2335dn, it does not prompt for more pages but creates one PDF per page. Is non-ADF multiple page scanning possible in any way?

I affirm that the Mult Page setting as referred to a similar thread Dell 2335dn - ADF Scanning is on as below.

  1. Right to Scan; enter
  2. Down to Scan Defaults; enter
  3. Down to version; enter
  4. Down to PDF; enter
  5. Select Mono, Gray, or Color; enter
  6. Multi Page to ON; enter

I have also struggled with this lack of functionality in the Dell 2335dn.  My work around is to do the scanning through Adobe Acrobat Pro, which will allow you to scan multiple pages before processing the whole document. If you are scanning pages from a booklet and can't orient the page properly, Adobe will rotate the pages automatically (assuming the page is text based) as it processes the document.  It may be possible to scan in a similar fashion using other software, but Adobe Acrobat Pro meets all of my needs for this sort of thing, so I haven't tried other methods.  I hope this helps.
