Dell 5330dn Mono Laser Printer - Firmware Update Problem
Hello,
The printer at the office has been acting up, for example, when ever I changed the default tray and confirm it would just jump back to auto.
So I thought maybe I should update the firmware since the one on it was from 2008 and the windows drivers.
Everything went through fine, do I test print and page is blank, the little LCD says "Printing" does not go away unless I press the "X" button.
Things I have tried so far:
- Reapply the Firmware Update from different computer
- Factory Default settings (Is there a way to hard reset?)
- Print from the menu on the printer (Same thing, blank paper, LCD says "Printing")
Does anyone have an idea?

Hey,
I got an older firmware from the swiss dell site, they had like 5 different Firmware versions, and now it is working again ;)

Howdy Joshua,
I am having this exact same issue! Can you tell me which version of the firmware you installed to fix it? So far all I could find are A10, A09, and A06 and none of them fixed the issue. Any help would be much appreciated!

Hey there!
I am not 100% sure which file I used but I used a non .exe version of the firmware with a ending .hd
The one that worked for me was either the 5330dn_V2.70.00.21.hd or Dell5330dn_2700025.hd
I can't find them on the web but when I get home I can provide you with a link (That will be in about 9 hours)

I know this is an older post and i hope you are still out there. I am wondering how you apply the firmware with out using the .exe version.
When I try to use the .exe it never finds anything when I search whether I put in the IP or not
