Dell 944 problems

I had been using an xp machine.  My 944 and it were quite compatible.  In contrast, my new Windows 7 machine and the 944 are not talking to each other.  Is it possible to improve their connectivity through the use of new drivers?  If so, if someone would describe the process for me, I would be very grateful.  Thanks.

Hi psych01,

AIO 944 was not tested on Windows 7 operating system when it was launched, hence the support site does not have drivers for Windows 7. However you may try installing the Vista drivers in compatible mode using this link: http://dell.to/18x8YbC

Click the above link, click Download file and save the file on the desktop. Right click on the drivers file, left click properties and left click compatibility. Change the compatibility to match the drivers/software that you are trying to install. Then right click on the drivers, left click run as administrator.

Note: Do NOT check the box, Run this program as an administrator.

Connect the USB cable of the printer when prompted and try to print.

Please post the results.
