Dell 962 printer ADF and scanning question

It's not obvious to me from the product specs whether the scanning function on this printer works with the Automatic Document Feeder. I need to scan documents that are 10-20 pages at a time. Would this printer/scanner work for this purpose?

I would appreciate it if anyone have tried this and could let me know.

Thanks!

I just received the printer today.  I tried to do what you suggest, scanning multiple pages using the ADF, it worked flawlessly for me when scanning documents to Microsoft Word.

The manual does warn that scanning does not work when printer is hooked up to network and that some programs do not support multiple page scanning.  So just make sure your software allows it and it should be fine.

So far, everything I've tried doing with the 962 has worked great.  I am actually a HP and Epson fan, but when I got this unit, I was surprised by the build quality (especially given that its a Lexmark rebadge).  The only complaint I have, is that the black ink is more like a dark blue.  Where as my two HP's and Epson printers black ink appears to be black.

But I didn't really get 962 for the printing, I got it for faxing and scanning.

Good Luck.

Are you wanting to scan multiple pages into a text editor, or multiple images into an image editing program? Applications like Photoshop won't take multiple images, but it makes you select one from the number you scanned in.

About the color ... When printing from MSWord, the color (and black) appear "faded". That is dark blue appears light blue, black appears dark gray, etc. I have yet to find a "darkness" setting. (The printer panel has a "darkness" setting for copying, but I need a darkness for printing.)
Help! Thanks!
