I did that. I do have the correct printer selected. When I tried to r pint a page off the internet, I got and error message. "Internet Explorer has stopped working", then it shut down and sent me back to what I was viewing before I made changes.
I hope you can help me. I tried downloading the new drivers for my printer. I've restarted my computer several times. Don't know what else to do.
I've tried all of the fixes that you recommended. I'm still not able to print pages from the internet. Can't even print directions from MapQuest. What else can I do?

Marna,
So you upgraded to Internet Explorer 9. What operating system are you using? Have heard different stories about different operating systems.
Did you try clicking on tools, file print and make sure the proper printer is selected?

Rick,
I have Windows Vista. When I click on Tools, there is not an option that says file print. When I check my printers, it is my default printer.

Marna,
Open Internet Explorer. Right click on the top part and you should see...
Check the Menu Bar and then you'll see File, edit, view, tools, help
Then you can click on file, print and make sure the proper printer is selected.

Marna,
Open Internet Explorer. Click on help, about Internet Explorer and report back what version you have.
Not sure if IEFix will work or not. It may have to do with the version of IE you have, especially if it's IE9.

Rick,
I have IE9. When I clicked on your link IEFix, it did not have Vista listed as a supported system. Will it still work? Wasn't sure if I should try it.

Marna,
Can you print with a different browser? Try downloading Mozilla Firefox, install it and see if you can print.

Rick,
I can print with Mozilla. But I don't understand why IE won't print. I appreciate your help, but I would really like to understand too.
Anyway, thank you for all your help.

Has your printer's manufacturer confirmed that your installed printer software version is supported in IE9 (yet)?
