FroeseFam,

Did you push the reset button in the 3300, then setup the printer like it was new? It may be looking for the old network and Mac Address.

First run Delete Print Jobs to remove any stuck print job in the queue.

Disconnect the printer.

Download and run the patch(printer cleanup utility) until it prompts you to restart your computer.

Restart your computer. Make sure the printer is removed. Manual Printer Driver Removal

Press the reset button on the 3300 and hold it for 30 seconds

Setting up the Dell Wireless Printer Adapter 3300

Download the Vista 32-bit drivers for Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 32-bit or the Vista 64-bit drivers for Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 64-bit. Install the Vista drivers in the Vista Compatibility mode You'll get a message, the printer is not connected. Connect the printer at this time(powered on).

Thank you, Rick. On my Windows 8 laptop, I got as far as the Dell Wireless Printer Adapter 3300 setup screen where I enter the WEP for my wireless router, but it won't take it because my WEP key is 16 characters long and the setup only accepts 13-character WEP keys. I then tried to change my router's WEP key, but I'm having problems connecting to the router and will need to contact Verizon support.

In the meantime, I'm trying to set up the printer so that we can at least print via a direct USB cable connection. I've done the following several times:

1. Uninstall Dell software and run the Vista Cleanup Utility as instructed.

2. Install 924 printer software via R148156.exe as instructed (Vista32bitSP2 compability).

It won't work. At first it would give me the "printer is not connected" message when I tried to print. Now it's not even seeing the printer in the printer list when I try to print something, and trying the "add a printer" option gets me nowhere.

I had this printer working with this same laptop before, so I'm completed baffled by what I'm experiencing here.

FroeseFam,

Try using these Recommended Wireless Router Settings I use channel 11. I had this working great with my old printer.
