Dell Photo Printer 540 - only prints a section of the photograph
Recently acquired this printer. Printing from the computer and also from flash drive it prints a section of the photograph perfectly but ignores the remainder.
I tried to upload a screenshot but kept getting error message.
What is the problem? I inserted a fresh ink cartridge but it made no difference

Check to see if the proper paper size is selected.
Depending on what you're trying to print, is the image the correct size or too large for the print area?

It is the correct size and the size selected is correct. It has only printed part of the photo. Is there any system with this printer which will tell me if the Ink Cartdrige needs to be replaced? I have not seen this, and yet it seems to be a feature of all printers (the printer tells you when it is running low on ink)
