Dell Printer Software and Drivers for v715w
I have a Windows 8.1 64 bit tablet which I want to install the drivers for the v715w printer as well as the software that came on the original CD that you use to set up the wifi connection, run diagnostics, check ink levels etc.
If I go to the drivers and downloads section for the v715w at http://www.dell.com/support/home/au/en/audhs1/product-support/product/dell-v715w/drivers it says no drivers found. I thought I could try the win7 64 bit drivers but nothing appears under the Dell Download Centre section, only a firmware update seems to be available for download.
This page http://www.dell.com/support/article/au/en/audhs1/SLN287168/EN says there is a web package available for win 8.1, but doesn't specify a link. Does anyone know where I can actually fin d the link for download. The same page says the drivers are included in win8 OS, which may be the case, but I still need the software to set up the wireless connection and printer utilities etc.
Thanks in advance

justin.needham,
First run Delete Print Jobs to remove any stuck print job in the queue, then restart your computer.
Disconnect the printer.
Hit the Windows key and the x keys at the same time, programs and features, your printer, uninstall.
Restart your computer. Make sure the printer is removed. Manual Printer Driver Removal
Download the Vista 32-bit drivers for Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 32-bit or the Vista 64-bit drivers for Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 64-bit. Install the Vista drivers in the Vista Compatibility mode You'll get a message, the printer is not connected. Connect the printer at this time(powered on).
Links to the patch/drivers can be found at...

Remember virus programs and firewalls will block communications. If you did not install any, then Windows Defender is the default. Try reading...

As for scanning, if you have the disk that came with the printer, then insert the Printer disk and stop it from running. Go to My Computer and double click on it. Look for the drive with the Dell disk in it. Right click on it, left click explore. Look for the OCR Folder. In the OCR Folder, there is an Abbyy Folder. right click on setup.exe, that's in the Abbyy Folder and left click run as administrator. This will install the OCR program.
