Please follow the instructions below and then tell me what happens. First, let's make sure your computer has the latest Windows Updates, especially .net framework, needed to run many applications and the latest Java. If using Windows 7 also try...Manual Printer Driver Removal Restart your computer. Download the proper drivers. XP/Vista/Windows 7 32-bit drivers XP/Vista/Windows 7/8 64-bit drivers Other drivers Install the proper drivers. You'll be prompted when to connect your printer(powered on). Please make sure your computer is online when installing the drivers. ***To install drivers, sometimes the file unzips and does nothing. You have to look for the setup.exe file, right click on it, then left click run as administrator*** If using Windows 7, use the Vista drivers in the compatibility mode. Right click on the setup.exe file, left click properties, left click compatibility. Change the compatibility Vista SP2. Then right click on the drivers, left click run as administrator and follow the on screen instructions. You'll be prompted when to connect the printer(powered on) ***To install drivers, sometimes the file unzips and does nothing. You have to look for the setup.exe file, right click on it, then left click run as administrator*** As for scanning, if you have the disk that came with the printer, then insert the Printer disk and stop it from running. Go to My Computer and double click on it. Look for the drive with the Dell disk in it. Right click on it, left click explore. Look for the OCR Folder. In the OCR Folder, there is an Abbyy Folder. right click on setup.exe, that's in the Abbyy Folder and left click run as administrator. This will install the OCR program. Scanning Scanning using USB connection, open the Dell All-In-One Center, click on scanning and copying and scan from there. Scanning wirelessly, use the scan buttons on the printer. Rick

I have installed ocr but it only brings in half of the paper and the language makes no sense.

How did you install the OCR Program? From the printer disk?

Is this program installed?

I have the Microsoft surface pro 3 ands when I clicked the other driver link nothing came up for my device. What driver do I have to download to install the Dell V515w?

Installing Older Windows Printer Drivers in Windows 10

Try this procedure and see if the printer installs.

First run Delete Print Jobs to remove any stuck print job in the queue.

Disconnect the printer.

Hit the Windows key and the x keys at the same time, programs and features, your printer, uninstall.

Restart your computer. Make sure the printer is removed. Manual Printer Driver Removal

Download the Vista 32-bit drivers for Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10 32-bit or the Vista 64-bit drivers for Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10 64-bit. Install the Vista drivers in the Vista Compatibility mode you’ll get a message, the printer is not connected. Connect the printer at this time (powered on).
