Dell V520 frozen, not recognized by computer
My Dell V520 all in one inkjet printer was working fine. We had power shutdown and the printer hasn't worked since. It's connected to a USB so I shouldn't have had a problem. The printer has power, starts when I remove and reinstall the power pack in back. But the "blue line" on the printer's screen only goes about 2/3 of the way to completion. I can't turn it off with the power button. I replace the USB cable to see if that is the problem. The computer can't find the printer. Using Windows 7 on the desktop. I've tried rebooting, etc. Any suggestions or am I stuck having to but a new printer though this one is only 15 months old.

TerrapinTimeOut,
Unplug the printer from the wall. Now remove the power brick for 60 seconds. This will reset any error messages the printer in getting.

Thanks for the suggestion Rick. I hadn't tried removing the power brick itself. But it still locks up.

TerrapinTimeOut,
Make sure all memory cards are removed, then try the power brick, again. With the printer not attached to anything(not usb cables and memory cards removed), does the printer power on by itself?

It powers on but freezes with the "blue line" about 3/4 of the way across the Dell screen. The power button doesn't work regardless of how long I keep it depressed.

TerrapinTimeOut,
Printer should be able to power on, without being usb cable connected or have any memory cards attached. If it doesn't power on, then something happened to the printer when the power outage occurred.
