gscomputer,

I don't have much information on this printer.

Try reading...

and

Troubleshooting Print Quality for the Dell V525w and V725w AIO Inkjet Printers

Maybe some thing there will help. Was the black cartridge just installed? If yes, is it a Dell Series ink cartridge?

Did you find a solution? I'm having the same issue. It will only print in blue.

Black is essential when it comes to printing so I know how important it is for you to solve this error.
It seems like your computer's printer head is clogged with dry ink. The ink in the printer heads will dry up and clog up the print head when not used for a while.
There are printers with Print Cartridge Alignment program allowing to see if all the cartridges are clogged. If your printer doesn't have this, take a soft cloth and put a small amount of rubbing alcohol on a corner and touch the print head very lightly to see if any ink comes off.
Good luck!

Makes total sense. I'm just trying to locate the print heads without taking screws loose. Dell must no longer carry the manuals, the download goes blank (on 2 laptops). Thanks for the advise.

Ok, found the print head. Yes it needed cleaning, good call. But, now it prints in Magenta. I did just replace that cartridge. I did clean the print head a second time, till prints in magenta, Cyan is low. Have to quit and go buy a yellow cartridge, won't print if one is out. Something is still wrong with the Black.

No I have not. I did clean the print heads and changed the black cartridge. Guess I need to buy an HP printer. They last forever!!!

Same problem!  (now low on magenta ink!)  Did all the trouble shooting tips, read all the articles - no help.

Strangely, I do get black ink when doing "deep clean printhead" on the printer control panel maintenance. That's the only black I get. So it CAN print black but not when you want to actually print something.
