Hi jasonduo,

“Dell Printer Home” application has the required software for you printer including the Scan-Driver. If you have the disc that was shipped with the printer, please uninstall the printer application completely and then re-install the software from the disc. Follow the steps below to install the software:

1. Run the Installation CD.
2. Click Advanced Options.
3. Click Install Additional Software.
4. Accept the License Agreement by clicking Agree.
5. Click Continue.
6. Select the software to install by placing a check next to the required software, then click Continue.
7. Follow the onscreen instructions to install the software. Please see the image below:

I've already downloaded & installed the PRINTER driver.  My client doesn't have the CD that came with the printer (says there wasn't one) .... I need the Dell Home Center (?) so that I have software installed to be able to scan.

When I try to use the scan button on the 525 to scan to computer, it "searches" then fails.
