problem is not with the printer driver...its a problem with windows...that error wont allow you to install any other programs/application...

to fix that

go to C:\windows\repair

then look for autoexec.nt, copy it

go to C:\windows\system32

paste the autoexec.nt..

run the installation again,it should push through.. :smileywink:

Hi!

I have an error when trying to install the same driver.  I've downloaded the latest one, but I get a small window right when I start the installation that reads...

Windows Script Host

Script:      c:\Dell720\dlbcEN.vbs
Line:         11
Char:        1
Error         Permission Denied
Code:       800A0046
Source:    Microsoft VBScript runtime error

And of course a little "OK" button to click.  After that, another window appears that says...

Setup has determined that the spooler service has stopped.  In order to continue installation, it must be started.  Do you want the spooler service to be started now?  Choose 'Yes' to start the service and continue the installation or choose 'No' to exit the installation.

Once I click "ok" for the first error and "Yes" for the second error, the installation simply ends without installing the driver.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks for your time,

The instructions that redrum2k gave above solved my problem.  I would suggest giving this a try. Good Luck.
