From what I was reading, it could come from anything like bad RAM to bad drivers to malware. I found a few post from here. I read the first 4 posts and then read this one.

Is there anything you did recently like install something or add a new game or program?

I would suggest a full system scan for viruses and malware. Use your Virus protection program and also try running these tools.

These tools can be found by using Google.

C W Shredder

Spybot Search & Destroy

Super AntiSpyware

Run full system scans in the safe mode, press F8 when you see the Dell screen.

You can try disconnecting your printer. Un-install your printer. Restart your computer. Now install the printer drivers, you'll be prompter when to connect the printer.
