HELP! networking a AIO 942 problem

Question

I have a funny (not really ) situation. I have a dell dimension desktop running windows xp with a direct connection to my dell AIO 942 printer. I have a inspiron 6000 laptop, using windows xp pro, networked to the desktop and trying to share the printer. The only way I can network print using my laptop is to put several documents in the print que. Restart my desktop (which is where the printer is directly connected) Upon restart, the first document will be kicked out and the remaining documents in que will print.   How can I avoid a haviing to restart the main pc in order for my networked pc to print??   BTW I have contacted dell via chat..we went through a rundown and I followed all directions I was given, but this is what I've ended up with.   Any help with this is appreciated.   Thanks MelissaZF

i have a similar problem with aio 922. it is connected to hp desktop trying to network with dell notebook and dell dimention 4700. i don't have any solution, just similar problem.
