Help installing 2135cn printer over network
I have a 2135cn printer and am having trouble installing it over the network.
I have one desktop and three notebooks all running Windows 10.
Originally the printer was shared through the desktop, but we are having some problems and I want to have it always available whether the desktop is on or not.
I plug the Ethernet cable up from the printer to the router.
On the printer, I choose SETUP>ADMIN>Wired Network>TCP/IP
and it gives me an IP address (should I have chosen ETHERNET instead?).
In windows 10, I choose SETTINGS>DEVICES>ADD PRINTER OR SCANNER
then I have to choose 'The Printer that I want wasn't listed' by which I choose "Add a printer using TCP/IP address or hostname". I put in the correct address and it finds the printer. Then I install the drivers from a list of printers, and it says 'successful! print a test page"..
But when I try to print a test page (or print anything, for that matter) I get like one strange character per page and it does this for dozens of pages. I have to cancel the print on the printer.
What am I doing wrong? I really need to get this printer/scanner working over the network
thanks!

Arg, so apparently the correct driver is NOT installing. In fact, I can't find the 2135cn driver under windows 10. The desktop finds the printer and has the driver for it in the list, but none of the notebooks do. They install a "Dell Open Print Driver".. That appears to work when printing, but I don't see options for scan/copy/etc..
Where is the Windows 10 driver for the 2135cn?
