Help please ! - 3100CN - setup to print to it from Internet while traveling

Is there a knowledgeable networking type here that can advise what setup is required to print to the DELL 3100cn from the Internet

1.  I have a Static IP for the Internet service
2.  I've assigned the 3100cn a static IP on the LAN (192.168.15.125)
3. I'm using a linksys consumer router (WRT54P2 - Vonage VoIP router)
4.  I know the laserjets like to work on Port: 9100

Can I port forward port 9100 on the WAN router to the printer's LAN IP to access the printer?
Then use something like          WANstaticIP:9100      to reach the 3100cn on the LAN?

This is the boundary of my knowledge.

All help appreciated!

You shouldn't have any problem printing by port forwarding from the router, just make sure your ISP allows incoming connections on port 9100. If they do block port 9100, you can always forward a different WAN port to your printer's port 9100 via the router.

That 192.xxx.xxx.xxx IP number you have is not a valid internet available number. It is only available internal to your network. Does your ISP give you one or two IP's ? Usually they are dynamic and you pay extra for static.
