Hi johnruth,

Please follow the instructions shared in User's Guide under the Troubleshooting Section (Page 141) to troubleshoot the page alignment and color registration is out of alignment issue. Hope this helps.

Please keep me posted with the results.

Saharsh,

Thank you for replying.  I greatly appreciate it.

I went through the user guide to each section and I don't see anything for page alignment.

My image and text prints crooked, so if you look at what prints it is not even or square.....the color registration is fine.  Basically, everything prints fine but it's crooked, so when you look at what prints on the paper one side is higher than the other....the image tilts to the left, if that makes sense, so when you look at the bottom of the page one margin is higher than the other.  Could this be a feeder problem?  Any thoughts would be very helpful....thanks for helping.

Hi johnruth,

Thank you for sharing the information.

Please open the User Guide from the link shared in my previous reply. From page number 143 'Print Quality Problems Troubleshooting' is listed. There are various print quality issues listed there. Please go through them and check if any of them match your issue or not. You may perform Machine Check to check the operation of the different components of the printer which includes Feed Roll Operation Check as well. This will help you isolate the if there is an issue with the Feeder or not.

Note: When you perform the feed roll operation check, remove the paper from the Multipurpose Feeder (MPF).

You may also refer to the article How to Troubleshoot Dell Laser Printers for more help.

Hope this helps. Please reply if you have any questions.

Hi Saharsh,

I've read everything in the user guide twice and tried pretty much everything.  I went to DellCares on twitter and they told me to do the following:   "from Dell - select the "fit" option and select the "Choose paper source by PDF page size" box."

I have gone through print preference, print properties and the tool box and can't locate either the "fit" option or the "choose paper sourche by PDF box."

Would you happen to know what they are talking about?  If so, how do I find those options or boxes?  Is it possible those options don't exist for the 1250c printer because I have looked everywhere, unless I am missing something very simple.  There isn't a solution in the user guide for alignment unfortunately....at least I can't see anything after looking many times.

Thanks for helping me find a solution....I greatly appreciate your help and thoughts.

Hi johnruth,

It appears to be a hardware issue in the Printer, you may consider replacing it. If comfortable, you may try dis-assembling the feeder and check. Also, you may try to reset the printer back to the factory settings following the instructions shared on the manual.
