I later found, the printer prints a page indicating an error with the data received. Changing the USB cable to a shorter cable as BENGFER noted resolved the problem on one printer. I stopped using the one connected to WI-FI and will return. This printer is trouble: should not have to worry about a USB cable, using a Hub or USB 3 port,

I was having the same problem with an 1130 mono laser printer.
Try the following
1. Change the USB cable
2. Do not plug into a USB hub (this was my problem). Plug directly into a USB port on the motherboard
3. Do not use a USB 3 port.

I have had the same problem, often happens when printing from pdf. I reinstalled drivers and updated firmware but not sure if it's fixed or not.

Have same problem on two B1160w printers, one on Windows 7 (wireless) and one on brand new Dell desktop windows 8.1 with USB cable..
Same problem after uninstalling all old drivers and installing latest drivers (V1.11) and updated firmware A04_V3.70.01.09

I am connecting my printer to my laptop, my laptop only has a USB 3.0 hub, Kindly advise.
Laptop Specifications : Lenovo IdeaPad

I have attached an image of the USB information under " Device Manager" for your reference.
