New Computer Unable to find v715w on Network

I'm adding a computer to an existing wireless printer. I downloaded the driver and installed it. Went through the installation process, but the new computer can't find the printer on our network. I tried entering the actual IP Address - pulled from the other computer - and still nothing. Not sure what else to try. The existing computer is running Vista. The new one is running Windows 7.

 Viktor1109,

Try using these Recommended Wireless Router Settings in your wireless router, I use channel 11. You may want to make a new SSID to make connecting easier.

Make and model of your wireless router is helpful.

I am having the same problem. v715w, connected wirelessly, initially connected to XPS L502X with Win7 x64 (bought together), usually works fine. Now I'm trying to install it on a 2nd pc, my Inspiron E1505 running Win7 x64, and the installer CANNOT locate the v715w, even with the "recommended wireless router settings". Help...?

Viktor1109,

The printer can be setup for wireless with no problems. It takes a little time to setup everything.

Need make and model of your computer and operating system. 32-bit or 64-bit.

Virus protection and firewall also needed.

I solved this problem by connecting the new computer to the printer with the USB cable. This allowed the software to find the printer and I've had no further problems. So pull out that cable and hook it up. That might fix it.

My point, and perhaps I was insufficiently clear, is after connecting to the printer with the cable, I was able to connect to it wirelessly. All it took was one connect using the cable, and the laptop has been able to use the printer wirelessly since.
