Printing spooler error
After installing the software that came with the 1355cn, I have received many printing spooler errors. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, used the Windows update drivers as well and still the issue persists. I need help, this is a new printer and I cannot get network printing to work on my Windows 7 x64 systems. No issues with XP systems.

The first thing you should try is shutting the print spooler down in services on the machines that are not working. Then, navigate to C:\windows\system 32\spool\printers. Delete all the files left inside that directory. Restart the print spooler and try printing again.

HI, Ank
Welcome to the community.
If you receive an error message similar to the ones listed, there is likely an error with the print spooler service, spoolsv.exe. This service can produce errors or become corrupt during normal use or because of a conflict with a third party print management service belonging to a peripheral printing device. All printers come with their own driver that enables the functionality of the printer and many come with their own print spool service that often conflicts with the generic spool service provided by Windows. This conflict can cause the print queue to become jammed or unresponsive, thus resulting in printer not working or requiring an extraordinary amount of time to print a single job.
How to Easily Fix Print Spooler Errors
The vast majority of printer errors are caused by spoolsv.exe. In turn, the vast majority of spoolsv.exe problems are caused by errors in your system registry. It doesn't take much to cause a problem -- as with anything to do with computers, the printing system is very sensitive to configuration problems. It can be very difficult to track down the source of the problem, but thankfully automated tools exist to do that work for you!
Please visit http://bit.ly/gJUeiV to download Microsoft Fixit.
In the File Download dialog box, click Run, and then follow the steps in the wizard.
Once, you run this tool, restart the system once.
Hope this resolves the Issue.
Thank you,

antdell2,
Try running Delete Print Jobs to remove any stuck print jobs from the queue.
Disconnect the printer from the computer.
Start, control panel, programs and features(add/remove programs), Dell 1355cn Printer, uninstall
Restart your computer. Make sure the printer is removed. Manual Printer Driver Removal
This gives you a clean start with installing the printer.
With the computer online, insert the printer disk and install the printer.
Maybe Printster can help with the installation. If the printer is connected to a host computer, try reading...
Share Files and Printers between Windows 7 and XP (This works both ways.)
Remember virus programs and firewalls will block communications.

Have you tried contacting support directly? They should be able to remote into the system and narrow down the problem to the OS or the driver software and further assist you lfrom there.
