Problems with printing with Windows 7 and Dell wireless adapter 3300
I just purchased a new computer with Windows 7 and since then I have two problems:
(1) Even though I can print to my Dell Photo 964 if connected directly to my computer, I cannot print through my wireless adapter (Dell 3300).
(2) I can't print web pages.
Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks.

dawgsrock,
Try disconnecting the printer, run the patch, then restart the computer.
Download and install the Intel Chipset Software Installation Utility
Make a system restore point first.
You said you were haing issues with the wireless adapter on your computer, correct? Let's reinstall the network adapter drivers.
Realtek RTL81XX PCI-E Network Connection
Download the Atheros Wireless 1502 WLAN Mini Card Desktops Before installing, Went to start, control panel, device manager, network, 1502 adapter, right clicked on it, then left clicked uninstall. It asks you if you want to remove and associated software with it. I clicked yes. When it was done, I restarted the computer. Then install the newly downloaded drivers.
After you restart your computer, then try connecting with the wireless adapter. What happens? If you can connect, then try installing the Vista 64-bit drivers in the Vista Compatibility mode

Question: In what order do I do these? And which one of these things is the "patch?"

dawgsrock,
Sorry for the delay, my weekend to work.
When you go to install the chipset drivers, hopefully Windows should make a system restore point, but I usually make the system restore point so I know it's there.
Download and run this patch(***WARNING*** The patch for this printer alsoo removes other Dell applications, like Dell Dock, Dell QuickSet and other Dell applications)(These applications can be downloaded at Drivers & Downloads and can be reinstalled) to completely remove the printer from your computer. Run the patch(A MUST on Vista Machines) until it prompts you to restart your computer.

I couldn't install the driver. I got a "Permission denied". error.
"Microsoft VBScript runtime error."
Whatever that means....

dawgsrock,
Could mean malware or something might be corrupt in your Windows installation.

Rebooted adapter. Works with other two computers now (all lights are back on).

Already? On a brand new computer?
BTW, only one light is on the wireless adapter. No other computers can print wirelessly now.
Any suggestions?

dawgsrock,
Did you try googling your error message? See if any of the solutions look familiar. You can try Malwarebytes Anti-Malware update and do a quick scan. Remove anything it finds. What virus program are you using?

AVG. Scan picked up nothing.

dawgsrock,
You allowed the 3300 past AVG?
Allow Wireless Printer Blocked by AVG 8.0 Firewall

dawgsrock,
You're using...
WPA-PSK(TKIP) Security (Personal)
mixed mode
channels 1, 6 or 11. I used channel 11, got the best signal.
password is at least 13 characters long

Rick:
I am just about to give up on this project. Is there a way to just connect this printer directly to my computer and allow it to print off Quicken, pdf files and web pages and still allow the other computers on the network to continue to access the printer wirelessly? Is there such a thing as a USB splitter?
