xmove,
First run Delete Print Jobs to remove any stuck print jobs from the queue.
Disconnect the printer.
Download and run the patch(printer cleanup utility) until it prompts you to restart your computer.
Restart your computer.
Make sure to go to Windows Updates and the the custom updates. .net framework is needed to run many applications. Also Download Latest Java
Insert the printer disk and follow the instructions.
To download the patch/drivers(if needed)...

Remember virus programs and firewalls will block communications.
